A solar quote can run to several pages and still leave out the details that matter. As a result, two quotes for the same house may describe quite different jobs. This site gives you the tools and plain-English guides to close those gaps.
How to use the checker
The free checker is on this page. Enter the total price, the array size in kWp and any battery. Then tick the items your written quote makes clear, such as exact equipment and scaffolding, because gaps cost money later.

How to compare quotes
Once you hold two or three quotes, line them up. Match the equipment, the work, the savings forecast and the price. Finally, look at how each firm sells to you, including its MCS certification and consumer code membership.

When to request more quotes
Ask for more quotes when you hold only one, or when the ones you hold are vague. A third quote can show which of the others is an outlier.
You can request quotes from MCS-certified installers using our form. We pass your request to the operator, who matches you with installers. We never claim to be the installer ourselves.
